My name is Colleen Whale. I'm currently married to my wonderful husband, Ken (KJ) Whale. He is probably the sweetest, funniest, greatest man on this earth, and I'm the luckiest girl alive to be married to him. We just had our first child, a wonderful and beautiful baby boy, Connor, who was born on May 31, 2009. He has filled my heart with more love than I knew was possible.
September '09
I graduated Georgian College with a 3-year diploma in hotel and resort administration back in 2005, and I'm the night auditor at the Holiday Inn Express here in Barrie, Ontario. My shift is from 11pm-7am, Sunday nights to Thursday nights. I'm currently on maternity leave and I'm scheduled to go back to work May 2010, but I haven't actually decided if I will or not. I would love to be a SAHM and if we can work it out in our budget then that's what I'll do.
As a mom, I feed my son formula (though in my defense, I did try breastfeeding), he has slept in his own crib in his own room since the day we got home from the hospital, I put him to sleep on his tummy, I don't babywear, I practise CIO, I use disposable diapers, etc. I am definitely not into "attachment parenting". My son is happy and healthy and I'm doing what I feel is right. If you have a problem with any of the above mentioned, please take me off your flist or don't add me. I hear enough from communities, I don't need the drama from my friends list. Thank you.
My friends and my family are very important to me. I love my husband more than anything in this world. We've had our fair share of bad luck in the five years we've been together, but one thing is constant. Our love for each other. I'm just your average 25 year old, living my life.
